Tinnitus Ear Plugs
Tinnitus and being exposed to loud noises?
When suffering from Tinnitus (not permanent) is it dangerous to expose yourself to loud noises? Can it cause damage? I play in a band and go to quite a few gigs. Should I wear ear plugs or something? When I have been exposed to loud sound, my ears ring even louder.

Damage to your ears is cumalitive. Any amount of loud noise is bad – especially if you already have tinnitus. The only thing worse than having to deal with a loud ringing is an even louder, permanent ringing.
And yes, you should definitely be wearing some sort of hearing protection. Otherwise, you’ll end up like myself and others I know that have a 10-15 Db ring that never, never stops. It sucks.
