Is ringing in the ears normal after an ear infection?
Please help im worried sick, i had an ear infection 3 days ago, it was painful but it stopped on sunday, and then for a while everything sounded “weird” as if sound was being delayed in one ear giving a weird “alien” like sound to everything, then on monday the pain came back but in the other ear and then stopped, and ever since yesterday i’ve had a consistent looping high pitched but quiet “beep” sound in my ears, that ranges from being quiet to loud at certain times, i was just wondering is this normal and will it go away on its own? I’ve worried myself sick after hearing it could be tinnitus and can be permanent.
Additional: Also anything that comes out a speaker now sounds different to what it used to, for example things sound lower pitch and this is also worrying.
