Tinnitus?(ringing in ears) who has it!?

Im 17 and have had tinnitus due to noise damage for just under a year now. it makes me depressed and unhappy. the ringing noise fairly loud and i worry alot about it, i know i need to try not to think about it but that is so hard! i just need some people to help me feel better about it. how many people have tinnitus? tell me if you have it and how you get your tinnitus relief! i just need some advice to make me feel better about it, good news only please!
and is there still a chance that it will go away if it was due to noise damage? im only 17!

advice please :)

i dont even go to gigs or concerts anymore because im scared the noise will get louder i even bought some custom earplugs and im still scared.
help me!

(ive tried all the vitamins and supplements they dont seem to work. )
i saw a specialist last year he said nothing could be done but just to not think about. that doesnt help! :(

Hey man, Im 20 years old and I began having tinnitus when I was 19 after I left a club one night….

man oh man, I was freaking out, getting pissed and mad, and I didnt know what to do about the freaking noise I had in my left ear…

I learned to cope with it, I go about my normal every day activities and I invested in some good ear plugs that are practically invisible when I go places…

I can still go to clubs, parties and other loud events…I just got used to wearing those ear plugs because it’s better to not cause any further damage to the ear…

I went to audiologist and he told me that since I had no hearing damage(according to audio test) that the tinnitus would subside in about 6 months….well….it didnt, sad to say but Im ok now…

I leave that behind me, I researched it, learned about it, read other peoples stories and learned that I am not alone, and that some have it much worse to the point of depression with thoughts of suicide…..

now thats bad….

I almost immediately felt better about it. My noise is still there and of course I only hope that maybe one day it will go away on its own or that there will be a cure for it….but for now I just live my life and wait.

Try to stay around background noise to take the focus off the sound…go to sleep with some music on(that helps me).

It really is terrible at first because you just think negative, but honestly, try to stay positive and keep your cool…

trust me, that will help you a lot.
