Download of white noise to mask Tinnitus?
Anyone out there know where I can download some sound samples of the kind of “white noise” that can be played to lessen the effects of Tinnitus? I found that driving in my car makes me forget about the constant ringing in my ears for short periods. This is the only time this happens. Looking it up, it seems that there are several CD’s with different sounds that offer this. I’d like to sample several before I try it. I’ve also heard of training courses that are available for helping one to ignore the ringing. It has brought my life to a stand still. Any help would be appreciated.
Most white noise CD’s I’ve bought are either annoying or are repetitive loops. I’ve tried tinnitus therapy courses; I can assure you they are a gimmick. Don’t waste your time and money on them.

Right before I hop into my bed every night I make sure to turn my speakers’ volume up to medium and play “air conditioner hum” to help me sleep — it’s very soothing and I swear my life by it.
They’re especially cheap too at five bucks each.
