Wax Tinnitus
why can’t i use “otex” if i have tinnitus?
i went out and bought some Otex (i think only availible in The UK) because i havean ear blockage. the doctor has told me that its a build up of ear wax due to a cold i had my question is why does it say on the packet that if i suffering from tinnitus ( ringing noises in my ear) i should not use it?
It is not safe to use wax-thinning products if there is any chance of the eardrum being perforated (as wax will get drawn into the middle-ear).
Tinnitus is a symptom of many ear conditions (including impacted wax and infections) and I assume that the manufacturers are exhibiting caution in the way OTEX is used.
I would check with your doctor before using OTEX.
